EKUNDAYO AFE OMOLOLA works as a Lecturer in the Department of Microbiology of the Faculty of Life Sciences, Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, Nigeria.
Currently she is a Professor of Environmental Microbiology. Her research interest span Environmental Microbiology. She has a particular interest in the study of polyextremophiles and pollution of our waters with pathogenic bacteria. She has published over fifty peer reviewed journal articles. She is a member of Nigerian Society of Microbiology, Biotechnology Society of Nigeria, Mycological Society of Nigeria, American Society for Microbiology and Society for Applied Microbiology (UK). Some of the responsibilities she has held in the University include:
- Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic),
- Dean Faculty of Natural Sciences and
- Head of Department of Microbiology at various times.
She joined the services of the University on the 2nd of September, 1985. Professor Ekundayo contributes to peer reviewed publications in Bioscience Research communications (Nig. Soc. Experimental Biology), Annals of Natural Sciences (Faculty Journal,Ambrose Alli University) and Biotech. and Mol. Bio Res. (Academic Journal).
She has participated in many NUC Accreditation panels across Nigeria.
